Piano & More
The Piano and More concert series was started in 2017 and takes place in the beautiful setting of Tring’s mediaeval Parish Church. The series centres around the 1906 Bechstein grand piano which the church acquired in January 2017, and has involved many local musicians - pianists, singers, instrumentalists and conductors. A regular series of hour long Sunday afternoon concerts has been established, usually on the second Sunday of each month, and additional concerts have also taken place at other times.
Although the concerts are free there is always a retiring collection that goes to the upkeep of the piano and for church funds. If you would like to donate, please click on the button below, and enter Piano and More as reference. Thank you
The October concert is on 10th October at 3pm in Tring Church when Helen Godbolt and Colin Stevens present a Cello and Piano Potpourri of music, from a variety of composers, from Bach to Villa Lobos.
No need to book this month, please bring and wear a face covering while walking about in church. This can be removed when seated.
The May concert was given by Ensemble La Notte; the performers are Mark Wilson (bassoons) and Kate Allsop (recorders). Their programme shows the development of the bassoon and recorder over several centuries; full details are on the Piano and More website.

14th March Concert
Anna Le Hair presented a piano recital finishing with Beethoven’s monumental Appassionata sonata, and also including works by Grieg, Bizet, Liszt, Brahms - and William Lloyd Webber. Yes, there are some references to Mothering Sunday in the music she plays! Click here for her full programme.
Piano & More Videos
Now that the regulations have eased and it is possible to use the church to record and or stream services we have been able to record some of the concerts.
We will send out email notifications to all on the piano and more mailing lists to let you know when new recordings are added. The newest ones will be at the top.
