Lent Talk
John's Farewell Discourses
Sunday 18th February 11.30 am Tring Parish Hall
John like the other evangelists begins his Passion narrative with Jesus sharing a meal with his disciples. However in John’s Gospel there is no institution of Holy Communion, instead he alone gives us the foot washing. After this he gives us an extended piece of teaching to the disciples. This is known as the Farewell Discourses.
Canon Martin Banister will give a talk on these Farewell Discourses followed by a soup lunch. You may wish to read Chapters 13 - 17 beforehand
Vegetarian and gluten free catered for.
No booking needed, just come along.
