About the Event
Oxford surgeon Professor Nick Maynard who recently returned from Gaza will candidly share his observations and experiences from the front line.
There will be time to ask questions and refreshments will be served. There will also be an opportunity to support the work of the charity Medical Aid for Palestinians.
We are asking for a suggested donation of £5 per person payable on the night, cash or card.
The meeting is organised by the Chiltern Peace and Justice group.
Nick is a Consultant Surgeon in Oxford and Chair of Medical Aid for Palestinians. He first visited Gaza in 2010 and has returned multiple times to teach medical students and as a volunteer with MAP teaching cancer surgery and advanced laparoscopic surgery. He has been into Gaza for three trips since October 7th , 2023, most recently in June and July 2025 when he worked as a volunteer surgeon at Nasser Hospital in…
