Led by The Very Reverend Dr Mark Oakley, Dean of Southwark. He will give two talks on the subject and give a homily at Holy Communion. There will be space for reflection in the morning and afternoon Holy Communion will be at 12noon followed by a soup lunch.

About the Event

The day starts with arrivals, coffee and registration from 9.30am, starting the quiet day at 10am with notices followed by the first talk. There will be a simple lunch; please let us know of any dietary requirements and lifts are available within the Tring Team Parish. We’ll finish with tea at 3.15pm, followed by Vespers at 3.45pm, departure 4pmA donation towards costs is requested.

Dean Mark was ordained at St Paul’s Cathedral, London in 1993 and served his curacy at St John’s Wood Church in London. Mark holds a PhD in English Literature and is an admired author of several books on poetry and spirituality. He is well known as a speaker and preacher and has been awarded both the Michael Ramsey Prize for theological writing and the Lanfranc Award, by the Archbishop of Canterbury, for education and scholarship.
