Welcome to the

Tring Team Parish

WELCOME

God loves you.  Whatever your age, gender, sexuality, ethnicity, ability, job, financial or social status,  God loves you. We are God’s church, and we welcome you.
WELCOME!

Who we are

The Tring Team Parish is the Church of England in Tring, Aldbury, Long Marston, Wilstone and Puttenham. We are a community celebrating and working out our faith through many different styles of prayer and worship. We do our best to live and share God’s love in this modern world through services, social events and service to the community around us. We try and do a lot together so please explore this site or give us a call.

We are a church for all ages and stages

Whether you are only just beginning to explore what you think or believe about God or you have been a worshipping Christian for your whole life; you are welcome.  Whether you are young or old; you are welcome. As we come out of lock down we will be making a special focus of ensuring that our worship is open to those with children; because we that worship with social distancing hasn't been appealing for those with children. We will also be doing our best to make sure that our churches are places of hospitality and hubs for our communities; because we all need to re-connect.

Five churches and online

We have five church buildings all with a regular pattern of worship.  We do encourage you to check the service calendar as you may find a service which appeals to you somewhere across the team.  There is children's provision every week in Tring Church, at Worship for All or Communion, when we all worship together.  In Aldbury and Long Marston there is also a monthly Worship for All Service.  We also live stream services each week so you can join us online.

Tring Foodbank

The Food Bank in Tring church is usually open Mondays to Fridays.  There will be a volunteer on duty every week day from 10 am - 12 noon.  Please leave donations in the blue box in the porch during these times, or bring to a service. Climate Emergency

We in the Tring Team Parish are committed to responding to the climate emergency.  We are aware that we have a lot to do - it is challenging to make a medieval church energy efficient.

As a first step a number of our churches have been awarded bronze awards in the eco churches scheme and we are actively working to improve this

Everybody is welcome

Faith, hope and love abide

but the greatest of these is love

As the Anglican Church in Tring and surrounding area, we hope and strive to be a loving, welcoming and caring community that follows Christ and listens to the Holy Spirit.  We believe therefore that we are called to be an inclusive church welcoming all no matter what their gender or sexual orientation might be.  We believe that faithful and committed relationships are a gift from God to all of us regardless of our gender or sexual orientation.  We believe this and are proud to say so.

As a member of the Inclusive Church network we in the Tring Team Parish are committed to resisting "acts and systems of discrimination, no matter how unpopular that resistance might be".  Sadly that includes resisting the discrimination on the basis of gender and sexual orientation which remains embedded in the life of the Church of England.

Women and the Church

Women and the Church (WATCH), is a national campaign group for gender equality in the Church of England.

Sadly the Church of England continues to allow discrimination on the basis of gender.  We encourage everyone to consider becoming a member of WATCH until such discrimination is removed from the life of our church.

During this difficult time we haven't been able to rely on collections at services but we continue to work hard as church...

... opening when we can, meeting virtually for prayer services and fellowship, loving our neighbours by offering practical support to the vulnerable, and caring for our communities. The work of our church is reliant on people’s generosity, a generosity that is a hallmark of a lived-out faith and a testament to it.

Thank you for your support!
