The Men’s Society dates back to 1906 and was originally affiliated to the Church of England Men’s Society. However, the national body ceased to exist in 1985 and we are now an independent society. We normally meet at 8pm on the first Wednesday of each month (except August and September) usually in the Parish Hall. We have talks on a variety of subjects, lunches and excursions to historic churches and other places of general interest. The 2007/08 programme includes illustrated talks on the bells at St Albans Abbey, an aspect of the 1st World War, a South African Safari, the restoration of the Wendover Arm Canal, Aspects of Faith and the Tring Learning Centre, and a visit to the Quainton Railway Centre.
Dates of meetings are in the programme and also in the Parish Diary, Parish Magazines and Weekly Pew Sheet. New members and visitors from all parts of the Parish will be most welcome.
