Mothers Union 2007 AGM in Liverpool

Photographs taken at the Mothers Union Annual General Meeting held in the Anglican Liverpool Cathedral, June 2007, and attended by 2000 representatives from the Provinces of Canterbury, York, Ireland, Scotland and Wales, as well as representatives from the Overseas Provinces.

Liverpool Cathedral, the masterpiece of the architect Sir Giles Gilbert Scott, is the last Gothic style cathedral to be constructed in Britain. The cathedral which stands on St. James’ Mount in the heart of the city and is visible from miles around. It was begun in 1904, consecrated in 1924, whereupon its mission as a cathedral began, and the building completed in 1978.
