Education Although the Parish is made up of people with a wide range of theological preferences and backgrounds the majority come from a modern liberal perspective and the work of the education committee reflects this. We seek to help people reflect on God in the light of the world in which we live, and to view the world in a new light because of our understanding to God. We do not look for easy answers, but believe that there is no end to learning about God, because there is no end to God. The Education Committee is responsible for
Parish Education Team - volunteers are needed to help set up a team to arrange a series of educational events for the Parish over the next year ranging from seminars to book groups to bible study. The proposed events include: JanuaryAn 8 week introduction to Christianity course based on the Emmaus Course February Week commencing 27 February 2012 - week commencing 2 April 2012: Bishops' Lent Course and Film Club. If possible, we shall have a Lent Group aimed at younger members of the church. March 11 March 2012: teaching communion led by Rev'd Jo Wetherall. May A short course looking at the Lord's Prayer - say over four weeks June The history of the church: No experience or training is required, just enthusiasm.
